Strategy

Delivering a sustainable vision

EIZO in the UK and across the globe are committed to embedding a sustainable approach into everything we do, from how we conduct our business to the products we make.

We have engaged our clients and employees to truly understand what sustainable issues matter to them, so that we can provide better support and build our 2025-2027 strategy around these areas.

Strategy

EIZO in the UK and across the globe are committed to embedding a sustainable approach into everything we do, from how we conduct our business to the products we make.

We have engaged our clients and employees to truly understand what sustainable issues matter to them, so that we can provide better support and build our 2025-2027 strategy around these areas.

All sustainability issues are important; however, some are more developed and embedded than others and some are a response to changing legislation and societies expectations – this gives us a way to prioritise our actions.

The EIZO Limited’s Materiality Matrix identifies the topic areas and the level of significance to external and internal stakeholders. We have used this to develop a strategy in conjunction with:

  • The EIZO Group sustainability requirements,
  • ESG requirements,
  • UN Sustainable Development Goals,
  • Horizon scanning for new legislation and trends (potential carbon tax, flexible working, non-financial reporting etc).

Sustainable by Design

Key themes emerge from this materiality matrix that address climate, people, governance and community.

This will address ESG requirements, regulatory pressures, net zero targets, supply chain pressures, non-financial reporting disclosures and future requirements from EIZO Corporation.

This sustainability strategy report outlines plans for integrating sustainable practices into the operations of the organisation. The strategy is designed to promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability based on the priority levels show in the EIZO Limited Sustainability Strategy Priorities 2024-2027 overview.

EIZO Strategic Priorities 2024 2027

By implementing this strategy, EIZO Limited can reduce our environmental footprint, enhance our social impact, and ensure our long-term economic growth in line with emerging sustainability requirements to help us build a resilient business.

EIZO Limited’s operational teams will address these areas over the next three years and continue with their existing efforts where these areas are already being addressed.

The end result will provide a timeline which outlines each addressable area.

By integrating sustainable practices into our core operations, we can drive long-term success and contribute to a more sustainable future. We are confident that through collaboration, innovation, and dedication, we will achieve our sustainability goals and set an example for others to follow.

Our strategy will deliver against our ambition to ‘embed sustainability’ in everything we do

Our Vision and priorities

‘Net-zero’ by 2040

Reducing and mitigating all carbon emissions from our controlled operations, including our scope 3 emissions, in line with the IPCC recommendations and the UK government commitment.

Purpose driven workplace culture

By focusing on employee engagement, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and well-being, our aim is to create a supportive and high-performing work environment. This plan will guide our efforts to ensure that our people continue to be motivated, skilled, and aligned with our organisational goals.

Enriching our community

Community plays a critical role for the organisation. By building strong relationships, supporting local initiatives, and addressing community needs, we can continue to create positive social impact and enhance our reputation as a responsible corporate citizen and instil a sense of pride to our employees.

Our commitment

Open and honest accountability for our sustainability progress

This will help to identify any data gaps and to build a credible foundation for decision-making.

We will drive positive environmental and social improvement by ensuring all decisions we make are directly informed by sustainability – recognising environmental and social benefits.

We will work to ensure that we have the resources in place for the effective delivery of this strategy. This includes resource for embedding sustainability into existing processes and products, engagement and resource for practical changes across our own operating areas and infrastructure.

We will publish our progress against our Sustainability strategy in a clear and transparent manner.

Governance

Well defined governance is essential to successful delivery of this strategy. Key roles for delivery will be defined. All EIZO Limited’s employees and the wider sector have a role to play in delivering this strategy. The governance has been established to ensure our community has the support it needs to enable positive environmental change.

Engagement and Communication

External and internal engagement will drive environmental and social responsibility improvement across our business.

We will continue to engage our employees and customers to embed sustainability into our ways of working and work with suppliers to promote the principles of sustainable procurement. We will use existing and new networks across the sector to share our successes, to learn when things go wrong and from others in the sector.

We will quantify the benefits of this strategy e.g. carbon reductions and communicate our environmental social responsibility performance publicly.

Assurance and Outcomes

We will monitor performance against this strategy, including through structured audit, measuring progress against the commitments and priority planning outlined at the end of this strategy.

At the end of each three-year strategy period, we will obtain independent external assurance of our performance against our commitments and headline objectives. This will include how our performance compares when benchmarked against the wider sector and observed benefits of strategy implementation over the first three years.

Further considerations

These priority topics will guide our Sustainability strategy, initiatives, risk management and commitments. Over time, the focus on these topics may shift due to stakeholder interests or business opportunities, among other factors. It is therefore intended to update our materiality assessment regularly to ensure our Sustainability Strategy remains relevant, targeted, and impactful.

Actions related to the ‘Level 1, Year 1’ priorities will have an impact and feed into later levels/years.

Measurement and Reporting

To ensure accountability and transparency, key performance indicators (KPIs) will be set, tracked, and progress reviewed regularly by the EIZO UK Leadership team. A summary of results will be published.

Timelines

The EIZO Limited’s UK Sustainability Strategy runs from 2025-2027. Over this period there will be a continued development of current operational initiatives, as well as new initiatives which will be embedded into the business as business-as-usual activities. Details and progress of the timeline for each priority area will be shared in our detailed plans and reviewed regularly by the EIZO Leadership Team.
