Blueprint Studios x EIZO

How EIZO has supported Blueprint Studios in the development of their in-house video production/podcast facility.

Bluepoint Studios 3

Blueprint Studios is the podcast and video production studio hosted within the Blueprint Partners office in Fulham, London. Blueprint Partners are an award-winning marketing agency that specialises in delivering partner programmes for world-leading companies such as Adobe, GoTo and Samsung, as well as industry-leading activations within the motor industry for companies including Aston Martin, Geely, Lotus, and Scania.

As the needs of their partners evolved Blueprint Partners Senior Leadership, decided that they needed to bring some of their content production and post-production in-house. This decision coincided with the increased proliferation of podcasts, so it was agreed that they would create a video production/podcast facility which could fulfil their internal requirements, those of existing customers, while providing a space that is open for use by those who want a space to record their own content.

As part of the development process the team, wanted to ensure that the technology utilised within the studio was future proofed from the cabling infrastructure to the input and output solution. As a fact-finding mission at the Media Production and Technology Show in 2025, the Blueprint team visited the EIZO stand to evaluate how EIZO monitors would fit into the Blueprint Studio. After a number of conversations, the Blueprint Team decided that equipping the entire studio with EIZO monitors offered the ultimate blend of quality and functionality, as Rhys Kirkham, Blueprint Partners CEO, explains “Initially the team thought we would have to use a range of monitor manufacturers within the studio, as we wanted large format monitors, colour accurate monitors and GUI screens.

After talking to the EIZO team at MPTS, they realised that a combination of the ColorEdge and FlexScan range would answer all our needs. Choosing a single provider with a unified warranty period, provided us with the confidence that should there be any problems we would be covered. Initially they were looking at EIZO for the colour managed workflow, but seeing the combination of monitors at MPTS helped clarify the decision-making process. Selecting a single monitor manufacturer would provide us with a unified look and feel, by simply selecting the same colour space, we knew we would be able to give the visitors to the studio the confidence in that what they were seeing on any of the screens around the studio, they would be able to see the content as it was captured by the cameras.”

As Mike Owen, Head of Marketing at EIZO Limited, explained, “when the Blueprint team visited our stand at MPTS, they had a clear idea that they wanted in terms of colour calibratable monitors, but he was unaware of products like our FlexScan range. The FlexScan EV4340X, a 42.5inch 4K monitor, was being used on our stand at the show, and this was a great showcase, because as the team outlined their vision we realised, we could kit the entire studio with EIZO monitors. Now they are equipped with 2 ColorEdge Monitors and 4 FlexScan monitors. ColorEdge monitors are known for their accuracy, consistency and reliability, which is why they are trusted by creative’s around the world, but often when 2 more than 1 screen is being used, the need for multiple monitors with built-in calibrators is sometimes overkill. So ColorEdge and FlexScan are a combination that can work seamlessly in many environments.”

Naomi  Wing, Blueprint Studios Lead Studio Technician continues, “We selected Canon as our camera partner, and having a consistent partners for input and then output has simplified our end-to-end workflow, there are no issues with trying to match content in post-production and, it has freed us creatively. Throughout the specification, design and ordering process, the CVP team provided us with confidence that we were making the right decision and, as they could supply all of the required hardware, it meant there was a seamless chain of communication, which was critical as we were building up from a totally empty space, with multiple building and fit out contractors involved.”

Rhys adds, “From our office we are now able to offer a world class production facility for our clients, our fellow inhabitants of Uncommon Fulham and the wider podcast community. The space can be tailored to fit the requirements of the production. From digital onscreen branding to more standard video and podcast set-ups our aim is to provide a seamless service, where partners can come in, use the space and have the final assets delivered in a format to suit their needs.

When talking to EIZO about their range the 5-year warranty was a feature that stood-out, giving us that confidence that the monitors we have will stand up to the rigours of the work we will put them through. Off the back of that EIZO’s efforts towards sustainability and their journey to Net-zero, align with our own desires to continue to be more sustainable in any way we can.”

Mike concludes, “At EIZO we pride ourselves on our consultative process, when it comes to selling our products. We want to listen to the customer requirements and find a solution that matches their requirements. While our customers may know us from one of our verticals there are often situations where monitors from one range can find a home when partnered together such as the ColorEdge and FlexScan monitors selected by Blueprint for their incredible studio space.”
