Trusted for Nearly Two Decades: Dr Sarah Constantine Chooses EIZO for Home Reporting

For radiologists, confidence in their display technology is essential. Accurate image interpretation, efficient workflows, and long-term reliability all play a critical role in delivering quality patient care.

Dr Sarah Constantine, a highly respected radiologist based in Adelaide, South Australia, has trusted EIZO monitors for almost 20 years. We recently spoke with Dr Constantine about her experience using EIZO displays for teleradiology and home reporting.

Selecting the Right Monitor for Diagnostic Confidence

Before establishing her home reporting environment, Dr Constantine had the unique opportunity to work with a variety of medical-grade displays across multiple hospitals and imaging facilities.

“Because I was already reporting on different brands and models in clinical practice, I was able to compare them in real-world conditions and choose the monitor that worked best for me. That monitor was an EIZO.”

Why EIZO?

For Dr Constantine, the decision wasn’t based on a single feature. Instead, it was the combination of thoughtful design, workflow efficiency, and image quality that made EIZO stand out.

Large Screen, Simple Workflow

At the time, her reporting workload focused heavily on dental imaging. The EIZO 31-inch widescreen display provided a significant advantage over traditional dual-monitor configurations.

Rather than managing two smaller displays and additional cabling, the MX315 offered a seamless single-screen workspace that simplified reporting while maximising viewing area.

Designed for Clinical Use

Dr Constantine also appreciated EIZO’s integrated calibration technology.

Unlike some displays that incorporate permanently protruding sensors that can interfere with image navigation, EIZO’s front sensor remains hidden within the bezel and only deploys during scheduled calibration.

This unobtrusive design helps maintain a clean and efficient workspace while ensuring consistent DICOM calibration performance.

Dual-PC Connectivity

One of the standout features for Dr Constantine has been the ability to connect multiple reporting workstations to a single display.

“I connect two computers to my EIZO monitor and click between the two – it’s so simple.”

The ability to switch seamlessly between systems has reduced desktop clutter, improved workflow efficiency, and eliminated the need for multiple keyboards, mice, and monitors.

Proven Reliability Over Time

Dr Constantine first began using EIZO displays in 2008 and continues to rely on them today.

“I’ve had my EIZO monitor for about 10 years – and it’s still going strong.”

Equally impressive is the monitor’s reliability.

“I’ve never had any technical problems with my EIZO monitor.”

With automatic calibration managed through a scheduled process, the display continues to perform consistently without requiring ongoing intervention.

Support When Needed

Although Dr Constantine has rarely needed technical assistance, she notes the positive interactions she has had with the EIZO team over the years.

“EIZO staff have always been very friendly and helpful.”

Advice for Fellow Radiologists

When asked what she would say to radiologists evaluating new displays for reporting, Dr Constantine’s response was straightforward:

“There’s just no reason not to get an EIZO.”

She highlights the exceptional image quality and the benefits of the 31-inch screen size, particularly when reviewing large dental studies such as OPG examinations, where fine anatomical detail can make a significant difference to diagnostic confidence.
