EIZO Partners with Worldwide Radiology to Support Patient Care in Ghana and The Gambia

Fifteen RadiForce RX370 monitor sets are being donated to hospitals in Ghana and The Gambia, strengthening radiology services and training in the region.

Hakusan, Japan, July 16, 2026 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced a new partnership between its Group Company, EIZO Limited (UK), and Worldwide Radiology (WWR), a UK-registered, volunteer-led charity dedicated to improving access to high-quality diagnostic imaging in low- and middle-income countries.

EIZO is a provider of high-quality visual solutions across multiple industries, including healthcare, where specialist RadiForce monitors are used in hospitals worldwide. Through a significant donation of fifteen RadiForce RX370 diagnostic dual-monitor sets, EIZO is supporting a joint effort with Worldwide Radiology to strengthen radiology services and training in Ghana and The Gambia, directly benefiting hospitals, clinicians and patients in communities where improved access to diagnostic care can make a life-changing difference.

The monitors will be installed at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Ghana, Edward Francis Smalls Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in The Gambia, and the MRC Clinic in The Gambia – all long-term Worldwide Radiology partner sites focused on building sustainable local expertise.

At KATH, a 1,200-bed referral hospital and one of only three radiology training centres in Ghana, doctors have been sharing just two reporting stations. The eight new monitors will allow more radiologists to work side by side, reducing delays, strengthening training, and helping patients receive answers sooner.

Dr Kwasi Adjepong Twum, Senior Specialist Radiologist at KATH, said, “Access to high-quality diagnostic monitors is essential for accurate image interpretation, especially in resource-limited settings. This donation will strengthen our reporting capacity, support faster diagnoses and create valuable training opportunities, ultimately improving patient care.”

In The Gambia, five dual-monitor sets will support the country’s young radiology training program at EFSTH, easing pressure on residents and lecturers who have been managing heavy workloads with limited equipment. Two further sets will be installed at the MRC Clinic, where there is no on-site radiologist and remote specialist support is vital. Improved image viewing will help clinicians make clearer, more confident decisions for their patients.

Beyond the equipment itself, EIZO will provide in-person technical support, with a UK-based product specialist travelling to Ghana to assist with installation and training, ensuring the technology is embedded sustainably and used to its full potential for years to come.

Colin Woodley, CEO of EIZO Limited, said, “When we learned about the incredible work being carried out by Liz and the entire Worldwide Radiology team, we recognised an opportunity to support an initiative that closely aligns with our own values and purpose. Enriching Others sits at the heart of everything we do at EIZO, and this collaboration represents a meaningful opportunity to put that commitment into action.

Our commitment extends beyond providing technology. Through training, expertise and ongoing support, we strive to help strengthen radiological services and create lasting value for healthcare professionals and patients alike.

This collaboration embodies the shared commitment of EIZO and Worldwide Radiology to education, capability building and sustainable healthcare development. Together, we can support local healthcare communities, enhance diagnostic confidence and contribute to improved patient outcomes where they are needed most.

We are proud to support Worldwide Radiology’s mission and look forward to building a long-term relationship that delivers meaningful impact for healthcare systems and the communities they serve.”

Worldwide Radiology works alongside local partners to strengthen imaging education, clinical support and research capacity through long-term, trust-based collaborations. By combining EIZO’s specialist display technology with Worldwide Radiology’s established networks and training programs, the partnership aims to create lasting improvements in both infrastructure and local expertise.

Dr Liz Joekes, Director and Consultant Radiologist at Worldwide Radiology, added, “Worldwide Radiology’s work is all about bringing together people and organisations with a shared vision of improving access to medical imaging diagnostics. Making sure solutions are appropriate and sustainable. Which is why I am excited that WWR is working with EIZO and three of our project partner sites in Ghana and The Gambia, facilitating the upgrade of their image viewing capacity through the carefully managed donation of fifteen sets of high-quality imaging monitors. This donation will allow more trainee radiologists in The Gambia and more Specialist Radiologists in Ghana to review imaging studies, increasing patient throughput and much-needed opportunities for clinical case-based learning.

Clearer, more reliable diagnosis means patients receive answers sooner, families gain reassurance, and clinicians can act with greater confidence. In communities where access to specialist care is limited, that impact can be truly life-changing.”

This initiative reflects EIZO’s philosophy for healthcare, “Making Each Life Visual,” underscoring its commitment to supporting accurate, patient-centred care through visual technologies. Together, EIZO and Worldwide Radiology are helping to strengthen local expertise, support hospitals and improve access to high-quality diagnostic care across West Africa.
