Ascot, UK [June 6, 2024] – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) is excited to announce the release of the FlexScan EV3450XC, a 34.1-inch ultrawide, curved monitor designed to meet the evolving needs of modern business professionals.
As businesses increasingly adopt hybrid work models, the need for effective remote communication tools has never been greater. This is EIZO’s first monitor to feature a high-performance webcam and microphone, discreetly embedded into the bezel to ensure a sleek workspace appearance, whether in an office, home, or co-working setting.
The FlexScan EV3450XC’s subtle curvature brings the screen’s edges into a comfortable viewing range, improving focus and immersion.
With a UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio, it offers 2.4 times the resolution of standard Full HD monitors. This expansive screen allows users to manage multiple applications simultaneously, which reduces the need to scroll or switch windows frequently.
Modern laptops often lack sufficient connectivity, a gap filled by the FlexScan EV3450XC’s USB Type-C docking station capabilities – enabling video display, audio playback, USB signal transmission, and up to 94W of power delivery to connected devices, streamlining hot desking and remote work setups. The monitor includes a dedicated LAN port to ensure a stable wired network connection when linked to a laptop via USB Type-C. This is particularly beneficial for reliable conference calls and high-speed data transfers.
The 5-megapixel webcam provides vibrant, high-definition video for web meetings. It supports Windows Hello for quick, secure PC access via facial recognition, eliminating the need for passwords. This feature not only enhances security but also streamlines the user experience.
The built-in microphone boasts advanced noise-cancelling technology, which filters out background noise and focuses on human voices. An echo-cancelling function further ensures clear audio by removing feedback from the monitor’s internal speakers.
Despite integrating stereo speakers into the monitor, EIZO has managed to maintain a slim, unobtrusive design. The innovative placement of 4-watt speakers within the cabinet delivers clear, robust sound suitable for individual use and small conference rooms.
