High-Precision Medical Monitor
Designed for Digital Pathology
1. Accurate Colour Reproduction for Pathology Diagnosis
Calibrated for Trust from First Use
In pathology diagnosis, subtle colour differences can influence interpretation of tissue and cellular structure. To ensure accurate colour reproduction from first use, each monitor is individually adjusted at EIZO’s factory. Colour gamut and gamma are precisely calibrated to accurately render the sRGB colour space, providing a reliable visual reference for the evaluation of digitised histology slides created through Whole Slide Imaging (WSI).
Colour Accuracy Verification and Quality Control
Ongoing quality assurance is important in digital pathology, where consistent colour presentation supports accurate interpretation of tissue structure. Using EIZO’s RadiCS monitor quality control software (sold separately), colour accuracy is evaluated using reference colour patches and calibration compliant with the sRGB standard can be performed.
The monitor is specialised for digital pathology and evaluates colour differences using ΔE2000 (Delta E 2000), a standard metric that indicates how closely displayed colours match their reference values. By keeping these differences small, the monitor helps preserve subtle gradations in digitally scanned tissue slides for precise visual assessment.”
Hassle-Free Quality Control with Built-In Sensor
Colours on a monitor gradually shift with use, making regular recalibration essential for maintaining consistency. The Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) built into the monitor’s bezel enables you to perform colour accuracy checks and calibration without the need for an external sensor. With RadiCS scheduling, routine quality checks can be run automatically during off-hours, such as overnight. This allows continuous quality management while keeping the daily clinical workflow uninterrupted.
Compliance with Global Standards for Pathology Use
The PX3150 has obtained clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a Digital Pathology Display and complies with Class A requirements under the European In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR). By meeting these international standards, the monitor provides a highly reliable display environment designed for pathology diagnostic applications.
2. Optimal Diagnostic Viewing
DCI 4K Resolution on a Large 30.5-inch Screen
A high-resolution 8 megapixels (4096 x 2160), offering a wider display area than standard 4K monitors (3840 x 2160), combined with a large 30.5‑inch screen, provides an expansive viewing area that displays more than four times the information of Full HD. Whole slide images, regions of interest, and supporting data can be viewed simultaneously in high detail, reducing the need for frequent window switching or scrolling.
Uniformity Across the Screen
To ensure consistent image presentation, the monitor is equipped with EIZO’s proprietary Digital Uniformity Equaliser (DUE) technology. DUE corrects brightness and chromaticity variations across the entire screen at all gradation levels. By maintaining uniform image quality from the centre to the corners, the monitor minimises visual unevenness that could affect assessment of fine tissue detail.
3. Streamlined Connection with USB Type-C
Mobile Workstation Power Delivery
The 94-watt power delivery via USB Type-C reliably charges mobile workstations. This eliminates the need for a bulky mobile workstation power supply, freeing up space in your bag and on your desk.
Stable Wired Network Connection
The monitor has LAN port directly built in for a stable wired connection. Connecting mobile workstation via USB Type-C allows access to the network through the monitor, making it useful when security policies require a wired connection.
Directly Connect Peripherals
While many modern mobile workstations are designed to be thinner and more portable, they often have limited connectivity options for peripherals. Connecting a mobile workstation to the monitor via USB Type-C gives access to a hub with three USB Type-A and one USB Type-C port for easily connecting an external keyboard, mouse, or headset.
The USB Type-C port cannot be used as a USB external device connection when used for a daisy-chain connection.
Hassle-Free Multi-Monitor Setup
The monitor’s USB Type-C connection supports daisy-chaining, making it easy to connect multiple monitors from a single USB Type-C video signal output on mobile workstations. This allows you to configure a multi-monitor setup without the hassle of excess cabling.
4. Rest Assured with Image Consistency
The Shape of Comfort
The monitor’s cabinet is designed with rounded corners and elegant curves on the back to present a gentle aesthetic and facilitate a comforting environment for patients and medical staff.
Stable Brightness for Confident Interpretation
The panel uses a highly efficient LED backlight to deliver a guaranteed luminance of 370 cd/m² for up to 10,000 hours over five years. This sustained brightness maintains a stable viewing environment and consistent visual appearance that supports confident pathology interpretation under conditions familiar from routine microscope examination.

Our Environmental Commitment
EIZO considers longevity, sustainability and environmental friendliness to be main components of product quality. That’s why EIZO’s EcoView monitors feature intelligent energy saving features, are produced in accordance with international environmental regulations and reduce resource consumption thanks to the long service life they offer.
Save up to 30% of energy with the EcoView Optimizer
Save electricity without compromising quality: The EcoView Optimizer reduces the background lighting fully automatically for dark images. This reduces electricity consumption by up to 30%. At the same time, the signal is amplified and the colour tone values adjusted. The result: You will enjoy the image quality you are used to but consume less power.
Zero-watt consumption thanks to the power switch
The monitors have an integrated mechanical power switch, which is extremely practical and energy-saving: If you switch off the monitor using the power switch, the device will stop consuming any power at all. Moreover, it consumes a maximum of 0.5 watt in standby mode.
Environmentally and socially conscious production
EIZO uses the FlexScan monitors to showcase how image and product quality go hand in hand with responsible planning, material procurement and production. This intrinsic value enables you to make a safe investment in a modern and reliable monitor.
Socially responsible production
The FlexScan monitors are produced in a socially responsible way. It is free of child labour and forced labour. Suppliers along the supply chain have been carefully selected and they have also committed themselves to produce in a socially responsible way. This applies in particular to conflict minerals. We present a detailed report about our social responsibility annually and voluntarily.
Environmentally and climate friendly
Each FlexScan monitor is manufactured in our own factory, which implements an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. This includes measures to reduce waste, wastewater and emissions, resource and energy consumption, as well as to encourage environmentally conscious behaviour among employees. We publicly report on these measures on an annual basis as a main component of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) report.
Sustainable and durable
The FlexScan monitors are designed for a long service life that takes into account the entire lifecycle and impact on the environment. It is generally well above the five-year guarantee. Spare parts are available up to five years after the end of production.
The monitor’s long service life and the ability to repair it save resources and the climate. When designing the FlexScan we paid attention to reducing resource consumption by using high-quality components and materials and being meticulous in production.
The packaging of the FlexScan consists of cardboard box made of 85% recycled paper, while the transport padding is even 100% recycled material.
A natural beauty
Reducing the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found in material production, such as some paints, is a global concern.
EIZO uses its expertise cultivated from extensive years of research to manufacture its monitor cabinets with a smooth, uniform colour and texture without using paint.
Compliance with standards and guidelines
The monitor is certified according to important and all-encompassing sustainability standards such as TCO Certified Generation 9, EPEAT and ENERGY STAR®.
The FlexScan monitors are a safe investment, when taking into account issues such as ESG (Environmental, social and corporate governance) or SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) from the United Nations and following the necessary guidelines.
Warranty
EIZO guarantees an extra-long warranty for medical monitors. EIZO monitors offer the greatest possible investment security and at the same time avoid service costs.
Five-year warranty
EIZO grants a five-year warranty. This is possible thanks to the highly developed production process based on a simple principle of success: sophisticated and innovative monitor technology, made from high-end materials.
